Del's "Run 4 Our NHS" - Marathon Every Month to Beat COVID-19
In April Del Singh ran a marathon (26.2 miles) 4 Our NHS, he will continue to run a marathon every month during the crisis, support Our NHS and to help beat COVID-19
"Run 4 Our NHS": By doing this Del will be raising money to help support the front-line NHS staff working tirelessly to care for us, our families and loved ones during the COVID-19 crisis. Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) Head to Toe Charity is dedicated to helping our amazing NHS staff deliver the very best care and support to those in our community with physical, mental health and specialist needs.
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has put us all in harms way from an invisible enemy that has already killed thousands around the world.
Unlike a war an army of soldiers cannot protect us, but an army of healthcare professionals can, and they have stepped up in their thousands to do this. While we are staying safe in isolation in our homes they have been on the front line every single day fighting to treat those already affected by the virus, and helping stop its spread.
Across the UK we are applauding the NHS and showing our appreciation by clapping, but we can ALL do more. Del was scheduled to run the 2020 London Marathon on Sunday 26th April, but this has now been postponed until 4th October. So to show his appreciation for his local NHS team at;

Del basically ran the marathon distance of 26.2 miles or (42 km) during April 2020. He did so by running 10.5 km every Sunday in April (Sunday 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th) - completing a marathon distance of 42 km on the original date of the London Marathon 26th April. After every Sunday run he posted proof of his 10.5 km run on this site and on social media in the form of Strava app feeds - with details of date, time, distance and his run.
With no immediate end in sight to this crisis and the pressure still on our NHS and our front line workers Del has decided to continue to "Run 4 Our NHS", by running a marathon every month until COVID-19 is beaten. He will do so by carrying on running 10.5 km every weekend, respecting rules of social distancing by running alone and not stopping to talk or meet with others. Should the rules change and outdoor exercise be stopped he will run indoors at home on his treadmill.
