Story
Deloitte : hope & joy for families this Christmas
Introduction
For many, Christmas is a time for giving. At Children 1st, we are grateful for the generosity shown by Deloitte colleagues over the years. Donating lovely gifts to the children we work with helps make Christmas that bit more special.
The Challenge
The families we work alongside are coping with past trauma, mental health issues, social isolation and a range of other issues, many of which have been exacerbated by the uncertainty and increased family tensions of the COVID pandemic.
To hear stories of how we have been supporting families during these difficult times, have a look at our Coping Through the Pandemic video.

For many families we work with, Christmas 2021 is not looking very special. However, by supporting this fundraiser and helping Deloitte reach their fundraising target of £1,000, you can show 50 children in Edinburgh and the Lothians that you care by ensuring they receive a gift.
What your support can achieve
This year more than ever, when children and families already feel so much has been out of their control, we want to empower the families we work alongside, to ensure they have choices, agency and control at Christmastime. A donation of £20-30 will give this gift to families, enabling them to feel the joy of buying the right gift for their child.
Meanwhile, Children 1st is committed to continuing our vital campaigning work to address the root causes of poverty in Scotland, and to supporting families directly through our money advice work and free, confidential national helpline, Children 1st Parentline.
Thank you for your support and Merry Christmas to your family from Children 1st!
