Story
Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. Whats more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer... yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this.We are building a network of experts in sustainable research at dedicated Centres of Excellence whilst influencing the Government and larger cancer charities to invest more nationally. We are the only national charity in the UK that is dedicated to raising funds for continuous and sustainable scientific research into brain tumours and we are a leading voice calling for greater support and action for research into what scientists are calling the last battleground against cancer.
During the last few weeks I have really found a passion for walking so I’ve decided I want to do something that gives back to others. I have set myself a challenge of walking 100 miles in May. Now this might not sound a lot to some people but to me it really is.
This charity and the work they do is vital to the ongoing research needed into this silent killer! I am passionate about helping to support this invaluable research and I hope you can all help me in anyway that you possibly can.
Thank you all so much for your support and remember to Keep a look out for my regular updates in how I’m getting on with my challenge!
