Update 07/08/2013
We are pleased to report that we finished the full 100km in 22 hours and 29 minutes. We had to battle with sun, heat, wind, heavy rain, thunder, lightning and the cold to reach the finish line.
Also a massive thanks to everyone for all the donations so far which really spurred us on! Thanks to Oxfam, the Queens Gurkha Signals and last but not least our 4-person support crew who made it possible, Mel Dokarry, Louise & Lee Howard and Rachael Storr!

I am getting ready to complete Trailwalker 2013 on 27-28 July, which is a 100km (62 mile/2.4 marathons) walk across the South Downs, starting at Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield and finishing in Brighton. The challenge is to complete the walk in 30 hours, but my team aims to complete the walk in less than 24 hours with no sleep! I am part of a 4-person team ‘Delia’s Divas’ (with essential support crew!) who aim to raise £1500 for Oxfam (£375 each).
With just over 2 months to go, training is heating up and getting serious. Having done a similar event in the past, I know that a great deal of pain, blisters, dehydration and injury will certainly feature during the walk!
If you are able to spare anything to donate to this genuinely great cause it would be really appreciated and will spur us on! Last year Trailwalker raised £1.3 million for Oxfam, and it would be good to beat this target in 2013. For more information on the event and how your donation is spent, please visit the Oxfam Trailwalker website.
