Thanks to you all for supporting me as I take on these long distance challenges for HAGAR. HAGAR is such a worthwhile charity.
Since the first part of my challenge for HAGAR, (which was a very hilly 50k across the Chilterns), I’ve been poorly with a post viral cough and breathlessness. This coupled with other injuries -knee and shoulder- has had a big impact on my training. Therefore, I’ve had to switch my challenge. The challenge I am now taking on
is the
‘Hadrian’s Wall Virtual Challenge’. This challenge is 144km - so 2 miles more than the Druids Way
. I start on the 11th November, the same start date as the Druids Challenge, but I will complete the event over a longer time span.
Gerry will still be taking part in The Druids Challenge and I will be his support team over the three days! So if you want to sponsor him, please do so via this page.
I know these times are difficult but any financial support you can give will be greatly appreciated and of real help to those who are victims of modern-day slavery. For more information on modern-day slavery and of HAGAR please visit https://hagaruk.org/. Thank you all again; I'll post updates as I go along!
