Story
After the success of last year's '1000km walk/run/cycle' event, where a staggering €8,700 was raised, we are once more asking for your help in raise money for the Irish Cancer Society. After the loss of our colleague and friend, Sgt Philip O'Reilly, in September last year we would like to commemorate him by naming the event '40 for Phil' and help the Irish Cancer Society's battle.
Starting on the 16th of April all members from the Army No. 1 Band, Band 1 Bde and Band 2 Bde, will have 72 hours to complete 40kms either running, walking, cycling or swimming. Aiming for a total of 4000kms travelled from the whole Defence Forces School of Music and hopefully raising €9,000.
