Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.
After running the British 10K I have set myself a new challenge to further my distance.
Not long ago my family and I suffered a tragedy where my mum passed away with brain injuries which resulted in limitation of life. My uncle also passed away 2 weeks before my mum which was a double setback.
I will be running my heart out on Sunday 8th September 2013 to remember two very special people in my life, who played an important role in making me the person I am today and will always cherish the good memories we have had. If there's a valuable lesson I've learned from them it would be 2 never give up, always try harder when the going gets tough!!
I will be raising money for the National Brain Appeal (http://www.nationalbrainappeal.org). The charity is one of the world's leading centres in providing treatment and diagnosis of neurological and neuromuscular conditions which can be developed from birth, slow developing illness and traumatic brain injuries.
Funds raised for the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery are used to help provide state of the art facilities to improve people's outcomes, new research to provide new treatments for critical illnesses, helping people return to independent way of living and more.
Having been in a difficult situation and knowing the National Brain Appeal support those with serious neurological conditons, this is a very worthy cause.
I have been training very hard in the last 4 months, and will keep the momentum continuing.
Please dig Deep and sponsor me to run my longest distance as of yet in the breathtaking new location of Greenwich Park.
Money will be sent directly to the charity and it is totally secure. Gift-Aid it at no Extra Cost!! :)
