Juniper Trust's Nepal Qualiy Schools Project will provide support for teacher training, school libraries and essential equipment to all the 19 schools JT has helped to reconstruct.
The teacher training will include trainer visits to each school to assess and discuss training needs, a one-day conference of heads to review school policies and management and specific training for English and Nepali teachers to include drama, use of library, oral work and creativity, maths, languages, science, art and crafts, sport, health and first aid.
The Projects aims are to ensure that all children, including marginalised groups, are taught in a friendly supportive environment so that they enjoy coming to school. They acquire skills, knowledge and understanding through careful instruction, demonstration, discussion, and practical activities.
