Story
As those of you who know me will have seen I have undergone a somewhat radical change in the last year. It seems fitting that now I can manage to walk upstairs and for more than half a mile without a stick that I use my regained health to help others less fortunate.
I am blessed with good health (fingers crossed) and want to spread the love! I am thankful and grateful for all that I have, a wonderful family, friends and colleagues who may have been on some of that journey with me too. To put something back I thought I would try to run the most famous (or infamous!) half marathon for a charity that is close to many people's hearts. My Dad, like so many others, was cared for McMillian nurses. The quality of care was exceptional and gave him peace. We all know people and families of people who have the need of care and appreciate the difference "care" rather than "obligation" can make to lives. I have found a joie de vivre that comes from good health - if you do too then together let's give some to others in a less fortunate position.
I love you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
