Story
Sunday 30th September
I got round in 1:38:12 so did'nt quite make the 1:37 target but improved on last years 1:39. More importantly though with all your fantastic support and generous donations I've raised over £ 1,300 - way over the original £ 750 target.
Thanks again Declan

This year I'm running for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust which is the only UK national charity dealing with all aspects of CF - my sister-in-law suffers from it..
CF is the UK's most common life-threatening disease and affects over 8,000 people in the UK. It is caused by a single faulty gene that controls the movement of salts through the body clogging internal organs resulting in infections and inflamation making it harder to breathe and digest food.
Each week five babies are born with CF and three young lives are lost whilst average life expectancy is around 31 years.
For more information visit www.cftrust.org.uk
For those who may not know the Great North Run is a half marathon 13.1 miles / 21.09k and last year I ran it in 1 hour 39 mins [1:41 in 2005] and this year I've set myself a new PB of 1:37.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me and the CF Trust will receive your money faster, plus, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thanks for your support
