Dechox

DECHOX 2019 · 28 February 2019 ·
This February I'm challenging myself to a Dechox! I have suffered with a heart condition for many years and have only recently been given the correct diagnosis. This diagnosis has changed my whole life and means that I am unable to walk my children to school anymore, unable to shower without a seat, unable to cook or wash up without sitting down....unable to do anything without it having a huge impact on my heart. I constantly live with a bag packed next to my bed waiting for the next hospital stay. Along with thousands of others across the UK, I'm giving up chocolate for a month to raise funds for the BHF's life saving research into cures and treatments for heart and circulatory diseases. That means for 28 days I'll be saying 'NO' to cocoa - from the chocolate sprinkles on my morning cappuccino, to sneaking a 3pm chocolate bar and, to all choccie desserts.
I won't be able to stay away from my favourite sweet treats without your help. Please donate what you can towards my choc-free efforts. Together we can protect the people we love from heart and circulatory diseases. Our parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandparents and closest friends.
