Debbie Quinn raising funds for You Can · 30 November 2015

YouCan supports young people up to the age of 35 whose lives have been impacted by cancer. We believe that by improving the physical and emotional wellbeing of young people affected by cancer, lives can be reclaimed and futures faced more positively.

Story

As you may know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer a few weeks ago. The cancer was also found in one of my lymph nodes. Subsequently starting on the 2nd December I will go through 6 rounds of chemotherapy over 18 weeks, followed by 3 weeks of radiotherapy.  My treatment should finish next May.

I will probably lose my hair during treatment, so rather than let it fall out and go to waste, I have decided to have it cut off on Monday 30th November, so it can be donated to The Little Princess Trust. They provide real hair wigs to children who have sadly lost theirs to cancer treatment.

By cutting my hair, I would like to also raise funds for a new charity called You Can who support young people with cancer.

As an added bonus, the lovely Bob will have his hair shorn in support.

Please give what you can.

Thanks

Debbie x
