After years of struggling with ill health I really didn't expect to find out I had cancer on top of everything else.  Telling my husband, our daughters and family was the hardest thing I've ever had to do it completely devastated our little family but, it's a curable cancer and I'm currently going through chemo and radiotherapy.  I'm strong, we are a strong family and in a short time this will all be just a bad memory.  

It's wonderful  just to be able  to pop into Maggie's if you fancy a chat and a cuppa, or feeling down, confused, or like me couldn't  make sense of everything. As you walk in you feel a calm around  you and smiling  happy faces wherever you look.  There are a variety of different sessions, gardening, meditation, look good  feel good  sessions amongst others.  

Those who know me know I DON'T  walk anywhere I can drive to so even without treatment it would be a HUGE challenge, 7 miles, YES, 7 miles.. what was I thinking of when I signed up?  But signed up I did and by hook or crook I'll do it, might take longer than the 3 hours but, I'm taking one or possibly more of my furbabies to help me any hoomans are welcome to as I might need a push!!
