Story
Earlier this year we lost my lovely Auntie Mary to cancer. She was a very special person with a wicked sense of humour and I think she'd approve of the family getting together, getting full of mud and generally looking ridiculous!
Hopefully this race will help raise more funds for more research and improved ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer. My mum thinks she's lucky that when she had cancer it was picked up at a very early stage and she received excellent and effective treatment - we need more people to be lucky.
That's why I'm joining Cancer Research UK's Race for Life this year with my cousins and my Auntie Maureen. Please help by sponsoring me whatever you can spare.
Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. Every little bit helps in finding better cancer treatments to help keep all our loved ones with us for longer.
