Since losing my right eye and receiving my prosthetic in 2008 my goal is to try and help people going through the same trauma by giving advice and support.

I have been following the story of PC Dave Rathband since that fatal day when he was shot in the face by a guy on the ramapge with a shotgun, culminating in total loss of sight. I and am sure most people out there were shocked and aggreived by the actions of this man. However i am in awe and full of total admiration for Dave Rathband and his attitude following these horrific injuries. 

I am sure you will agree front line emergency personnel do a magnificent job but are finding it harder to do so through mindless acts of violence towards them.

PC Rathband has founded the Blue Lamp foundation to raise money to relieve the financial hardship that some of these personnel face following criminal injuries whilst on duty.

I am carrying out several fundraising events starting with a christmas hamper raffle. Tickets are £1, but if you just wish to just donate a small amount that would be great.
