Marty is attempting The 3 Peaks on 2nd September. The 3 Peaks Challenge is to climb the UK’s highest 3 mountains in a 24 hour period and includes Ben Nevis - 1,343m, Scafell Pike - 978m and Snowdon - 1,085m
Deb is going to crawl the London 1/2 Marathon this year on 25th September....battling injuries all year means that it's not going to be a record breaking time but hopefully a finish nonetheless!!
The CF Trust is looking to raise money to ensure that critical gene therapy trials go ahead. 'A multi-dose clinical trial for CF gene therapy is planned to start in Spring 2012. This is a crucial stage in the development of this promising therapy but we need to raise £6m to ensure the trial goes ahead. This is a huge financial challenge but we cannot afford to miss this one-in-a-lifetime opportunity.'
