Story
I'm very excited, a little anxious and getting motivated to run my first marathon - a goal that I set myself to achieve by the age of 40 (or thereabouts :-). I volunteered for Keep a Child Alive for the inaugural Brighton Marathon 2010 and was persuaded to run instead this year - a challenge which I am delighted to take on!
I intend to train hard, run smoothly and finish all 26.2 miles (without any injuries-God willing!) and would appreciate your financial support for a charity which aims to improve so many lives for those people that don't have the opportunities and facilities that we often take for granted.
Keep A Child Alive buys more than just the pills needed to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. It buys the essential nutrition, shelter, support and education to help ensure those pills are taken properly and effectively.
It buys the things we all take for granted, but that make all the difference. A bed. A roof. A ride. A book. A smile.
So please dig deep and donate - just 10p for every mile I run will make a difference.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many thanks,
