Fundraising for The Children's Society
Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I am going to take part in The Big Stitch sponsored knit, to raise money for The Children's Society. I haven't knitted for a year so I am out of practice but I'm very determined.
The aim is to help create a 100,000cm or one kilometre long scarf to represent the 100,000 children and young people who run away or are forced to leave home every year in the UK. The Children's Society provide a source of support through drop-in services, advice, counselling and finding safe accomodation.
I am going to knit a 20cm wide section of this huge scarf. I'll be knitting for 3 months in my spare time! Please sponsor me by the cm or inch.
