Story
I'm embarking on this three day journey to the White Mountains because I'm passionate about helping others. With so much wealth in our sector and society, I feel strongly that our neighbors should never have to go without basic needs and access to opportunity.
LSC has done a great job of connecting the life science ecosystem to communities in need. I did this hike last year and we raised over $700K. This year we are trying for even more - as we know the impact that a group like this can make for the community.
Pre-pandemic, the 5AM Boston team was able to provide and make lunch at CASPAR shelter in Cambridge and separately, the SF team helped prepare meal packages for Project Open Hands clients (see photos in gallery above!) Meeting the CASPAR residents and hearing their stories was incredibly touching and put into perspective how easy it is to take everyday necessities for granted. Ensuring there are continuous opportunities for us to engage those in need and give back in productive ways is essential, and LSC provides this conduit.
Please give so we can dismantle poverty and help our community and neighbors in need.
