Story
My name is Deborah Oliver, I'm 48,and come from a family dedicated to the Armed Forces – My father, brothers, eldest son and nephew all serve with in the Royal Navy and Army – and I have previously worked at the Royal Naval Air Station at Culdrose.
My focus has been raising three children; but with them grown up with homes and careers of there own, I realised I had to find something to replace the gap in my life, and so joined the RFA in 2003.
Now, after an exciting career that has taken me to countries as diverse as South Africa, Canada and the Gulf States among others, I have set myself another personal challenge to round off my new-found zest for life... by completing the gruelling ‘Walk Across Scotland’ inside two weeks to raise money for BLESMA (British Limbless Ex-Servicemen Association).
Service men and women through serving our country have had to come to terms with life after amputation there fight goes on every day The courage and determination they undertake every day to try and enjoy there lives Is far from easy
So please dig deep and donate now.
