Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have decided to do another 100km challenge in 2015 after sadly losing my lovely Dad this summer. I want to do something for him as he would be so proud of me while raising money for Marie Curie.
As a family, we were able to look after my Dad at home in his last few weeks which was so important to him and to us too. It was a privilege to care for him along with the Doctors and Palliative Care Nurses. In his last week with us, we needed a nurse to stay at night so the family could get their much needed sleep . Unfortunately, Marie Curie didnt have any availability at that time. So when I decided to take on this challenge, I thought of Marie Curie and families that need their support as we did.
I shall be doing lots of fund raising to meet my target and am asking for your help in anyway that you can. I have a cake and tombola stall when the Christmas tree lights are being switched on , on December 5th. A cake would be gratefully received to go on my stall! If you cant bake, please come and buy tickets for my tombola or guess the weight of the Christmas cake.
As for my training, I have upped my walking and classes that I go to. I am taking part again in the Seagrave Wolds Challenge on November 8th, a 16 muddy walk with apple crumble and custard waiting at the funish. I have also signed up once again for the Belvoir Challenge, a 26 miler in February 2015. That will be a challenge!
I shall be updating this page with my fundraising events and training too. Until then thank you for reading my page. Your support is very much appreciated.
