Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My passion is to be out in the hills.

I have recently completed the Coast to Coast. 193 miles from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay.

I was able to do this because I was lucky enough to be able to use a Terrain Hopper - an all terrain wheelchair. The Hopper is able to trek where a pair of walking boots could take you ( with the exception of stiles!)

I  want to raise enough money to purchase a Terrain Hopper for the Calvert Trust Kielder, as I am passionate that people with disabilities should be able to enjoy  all types of outdoor activities.

I have been truly amazed by the support I have received so far with my fund raising.

Jonathan Smith from 'where2walk'  planned the route which took me across the lake district, the Dales and the North York Moors.

People have been great in offering free accommodation, like Joan at Irton House Farm or  have given me significantly reduced rates like, Jean at Ashfield in Danby Wiske, George at Grosmont House, the YHA at Ambleside and Helmsey and Stephen at Shap Best Western.

There have been lots of different fund raising events happening in around the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire area. So many people are ,involved in  the planning of these events. Arry and Roy Atkinson  hosted our Old Time Music Hall on the 6th March, Amy Rose's Rhythms Strays played at our Rock and Roll Night on the 27th March and Blind Panic lead our Ceilidh Dance at Allerton Town Hall 18th April.

Thank you  goes to everyone who is helping me to raise the money to buy a Terrain Hopper for the Calvert Kielder

A huge thanks goes to Andy, my wonderful husband too. Without him none of this would be possible.

Now the C2C is over I am now planning my next adventure.... watch this space!
