Great Manchester Run 2010 · 16 May 2010 ·
Hello
Thanks for visiting my just giving page.
Yep - that's right - I am running! For those of you who have heard many an excuse / reason for me not to do exercise I suspect this may come as a surprise! However this is for a great cause.
I am dusting down the trainers and will be running 10km in the Great Manchester Run on the 16th of May for Bowel Cancer UK. When my dad had cancer they provided me with a lot of useful information that was hard to come by and with your help I would like to donate as a thank you.
37,500 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every year, making it the third most common cancer. Despite being a highly treatable form of cancer, 16,000 people die of this type of cancer every year, that means one every 30 minutes.
Bowel Cancer UK raises awareness, funds research and has an advisory service to support patients and their family and friends.
I would be grateful for your generosity.
