Story
Hi Everyone!
I’ve decided to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October to
raise money for the Royal Marsden. I’ve chosen this charity as I’ve had the privilege this year of getting to know some of the incredibly inspiring people who work there. They’ve shown me how their research touches the lives of cancer patients in the UK and all over the
world. Research tells us that one in two people will be diagnosed with
cancer in their lifetimes and I feel that this is now as a good a time as
any to pull on my trainers, say no to G&Ts for a while and raise money for this phenomenal charity.
Your support would mean a lot to me and will make an incredible
difference to cancer patients all over the world.
Royal Marsden Mission:
Our mission is to continue to make a national and global
contribution to cancer research and treatment, so that more people are
cured and quality of life is improved for those living with cancer. As part of this mission we are building a new Clinical Care and Research Centre on our Sutton Campus and have launched an appeal to raise £70m to fund the project.
Royal Marsden pledge:
At The Royal Marsden, we deal with cancer every day so we understand how valuable life is. And when people entrust their lives to us, they have the right to demand the very best. That's why the pursuit of excellence lies at the heart of everything we do. No matter what we achieve, we're always striving to do more. No matter how much we exceed expectations, we believe we can exceed them still further. We will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. This attitude defines us all, and is an inseparable part of the way we work. It's The Royal Marsden way. Life demands excellence.
