Please watch this video to find out more about the Church Hall I am raising money for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J99YzOIA4v0
You may remember that last year I completed a 5k inflatable assault course to help raise money to build our Church Hall. We raised over £800 in our final count. This year my plan was to complete a 10k inflatable assault course, however COVID-19 has put that on stand-by for now.
So I have decided to complete my own 10k fundraising event.
In April 2014 the Church Hall burnt down due to arson. Unfortunately it has taken a long time to get planning permission and plans approved. However, the building is underway!! Which is exciting!!!
The total cost of the project is approx. £850,000. We have broken the project down into 3 phases so that we could begin the build with the finances we have currently raised.
To date we have raised and completed phase 1: £500,000.
Phase 2 will cost: £128,000. Of which we have already raised £85,000. This leaves a shortfall of £43,000 for Phase 2. Plus Phase 3 which will cost: £222,000.
So a remaining £265,000 is needed to finish the building project.
If the money I raise through my event can go even a small way to finishing the Hall I would be incredibly grateful for all of those who are able to support me.
I have just bought a new bike so have decided that because I couldn't complete the 10k assault course this year I would try a triple 10 cycling challenge. Cycling 10k a day, for 10 days during the 10th month - October 2020.
Having our own Church Hall will transform the groups and clubs that we run and would also help in our current time of regulations surrounding COVID-19.
I look forward to completing my event and THANK YOU in advance to all of those who will be able to sponsor me.
