Story
Thanks you for taking the time to read my story. Please read right to the bottom for the edits!
So, Oh my goodness, I got a ballot place for the London marathon on April 26th 2020. It’ll be my first marathon and wow I’m so excited yet so so so nervous too.
Running a marathon is on my bucket list, however I didn’t expect it to come round so quickly and definitely didn’t expect it to be the London marathon!
I’m raising money for epilepsy action for a number of reasons; I have nocturnal epilepsy myself as a result of having brain surgery to remove a tumour 15 years ago. Thankfully I have been seizure free for 8 years now and let’s hope it stays that way. Epilepsy is not massively spoken about and is not easily recognised. More needs to be done so That people are aware of the signs of people suffering a seizure and what to do in that situation. Epilepsy is a hidden disability that is quite hidden from society unfortunately.
Those who know me will know I don’t give up on a challenge and I give my all to everything I do and running VLM is no exception 💪🏼
Please help me to help others by donating a little, which in turn will Hopefully grow to be a lot 🤞
Thank you and love to you all.
****EDIT****
My Marathon place has been deferred to April 2022. Fear not I will still run it and all funds still go to epilepsy action via this just giving page.
More time to train and more time to raise 💪🏼🙂
******EDIT*******
VLM isn’t happening April 2022 so had 3 choices; october 2022, April 2023 or money back.
I’ve opted for October 2022.
I WILL RUN THIS MARATHON!
