On Sunday 16th December 2012, I am walking the 30.1 miles from Bathgate to Yorkhill to help baby Tom McCartney raise funds for Yorkhill ChildrensFoundation. His story is below:

I was born at 9.30pm on Sunday 4th November 2012 in Forth Valley Royal Hospital, weighing 5lbs and 7.5 ozs. My Mum was worried as she hadn't felt me move about much for a little while, so the doctors had decided to get me here quickly, 11 days before my due date. I had to be taken to the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit at Yorkhill in Glasgow the day after I was born as there are a few problems with my stomach, heart and spine which the amazing doctors here are trying to help fix. I've had some surgery already and there will be some more operations to come, but in the meantime the lovely nurses here are doing a wonderful job of looking after me I'm very small and dont need a lot of things, so I would like everyone to give their pennies to the hospital so they can keep helping me and the other babies on the ward get better.
