I have set myself a target of running the London marathon again in Oct’22. In the meantime I shall be undertaking other challenges on the way: The 5k Inflatable Challenge in Exeter on 17th Oct, Cambridge half early March, The London Landmarks half marathon April’22 and The Great West run in Exeter at end of May’ 22. As you know my mum has advanced Alzheimer’s now and she has gone from a confident, gregarious impeccably dressed woman to someone that needs constant care. My 3 sons have also lost their dad at the age of 68 to the dreadful disease and I have other dear friends who are coping with either the disease or trying to get a diagnosis. We are so close to finding out what causes the disease in the first place so we can then find effective treatments and ultimately a cure.
