Our whole life was turned upside down when Mum was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in November 2020. She had been misdiagnosed for months before with indigestion and told to take gaviscon to ease her symptoms. She went through 3 different types of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, blood transfusions, life threatening sepsis, infections, scans, blood tests, hospital stays. Her 22 month courageous battle with pancreatic cancer ended on the 14th September 2022 and life has never been the same since. She was brave and she was brilliant. We continue to do all we can by raising funds and awareness to keep her legacy alive. Early diagnosis is vital for this disease and that’s why Pancreatic Cancer Action is such an important charity.
Pancreatic Cancer Action is the only UK charity dedicated to saving lives through early diagnosis. Pancreatic cancer is the 5th biggest cancer killer and the 10th most common cancer in the UK. In the UK, 93% of all patients die within 5 years of diagnosis.Your vital support means we can continue to raise awareness of the symptoms to ensure early diagnosis and enable life-saving treatment. Together, we will save lives. To find out more and to support our vital work, visit panact.org
