Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am writing this at 11am on Monday 26th April 2010 having had a fantastic day yesterday and only aching thighs to deal with today- coming down stairs is a challenge! The run was one of the toughest I have done- the furthest distance covered in training being 19.5 miles and with my running having been done outside during the nice cold winter months,  the temperature hit me somewhat yesterday. However with the supprt of the amazing crowd and my fantastic personal supporters of Martin, Beth , Rosie, Anna and friends David, Jacquie, Laura, James and Ellie, who kept popping up all over the place, I made it round in 5 hours 34 minutes. Although the official distance is 26.2miles, with all the weaving about you have to do to keep going I actually covered 26.78miles- half a mile further than the elite athletes who follow markings on the road to enable them to do the shortest distance necessary!

The day was definately an amazing experience and worth all the pain on the way round. What also made it so worthwhile is all the sponsorship I have so far received and keeps coming in. I have so far recieved £2605.74 including the gift aid on cash, cheque and on-line donations so a HUGE THANK YOU to you all I am truely grateful.

My 40th year will definitely be one to remember.

 Debbie.
