Story

Dr Jon Parry and Debbie Chessum are teaming up in 2018 taking part in The London Marathon for Ovacome Ovarian Cancer Charity as this is a cause close to their hearts.
Jon lost not only his mother at 42yrs old but also his auntie at 45yrs and his cousin at only 35yrs to this awful disease and Debbie lost her mum in October 2016 who was 66yrs. Jon has also seen and treated many patients with ovarian cancer during his career.
We feel very passionate about raising money to help people currently suffering and to prevent other families suffering as ours have.

It has been almost 20 years since Dr Parry last ran the London marathon and this will be his 4th. Training has already started with great enthusiasm. He has great support from friends and family and the added support of the staff and patients at The Springwells Surgery.
Debbie will be running her 12th Marathon and 2018 will see her running her 10th London Marathon.
Our target is £5,000 but we would love to beat this with your support.
