On 17th November last year I was offered a Golden Bond place in the Flora London Marathon with Cancer Research!  Yes, I'm still getting over the shock!

Surprisingly its something I've fancied doing for a long time but never got round to.  Although there are lots of charities that I'm really fond of, the only one I could do this for is  Cancer Research.  Those that know me well will realise why this is.  My dad died of cancer in November 1999.  So I guess this opportunity coming to me in November with the actual race taking place in what will be the tenth anniversary of his death could be seen as fate! 

I'm sure you all know about Cancer Research (there's a bit about them on this page) the more funds they receive the more research they can do and hopefully one day other families will not have to go through the same experience as mine.

I would really appreciate if you could sponsor me.  £3,000 is the target but obviously if I can get a more it will really encourage me to do well.  Thanks to those that have sponsored me both off line and on line.
