As Steve’s sister, I very much wish to support him in the Project Brazil Challenge and those who know me will be confident that I have the skills required to make a real contribution out there. However, you may smile when you learn that I will be living under canvas! Hey, it’s all part of the experience and I intend to embrace it, creepy crawlies and all!

 

The project will involve renovating a school in the Kalungas region of Brazil.  The Adesuita School is the biggest and most important school for the Kalungas region, serving 130 students aged 4-60.   Currently the school doesn’t have sufficient space to attend the needs of the region, so we will be building two new classrooms in addition to decorating and repairing the existing building as well as building outdoor play areas.

 

I am aiming to raise a minimum of £3,000 which not only goes towards helping the lives of an entire community by renovating their local school, but it also goes towards a clinical trial at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Cancer Research UK, which is testing a new drug to treat children with Neuroblastoma.
