Welcome to my JustGiving campaign page for Save the Rhino's 2022 London Marathon team!

Even though I left South Africa almost two years ago to live here in the UK, the one thing I long for is the Bush. It's my favourite place. I've been lucky enough to see black and white rhinos in the wild many times in my life - so have my children thankfully - but the idea of them never seeing a rhino in the wild again is truly heartbreaking. 

When I didn't get a ballot place in the Marathon, I mentioned my disappointment to my running team WhatsApp group where an online running friend mentioned that the charity she works for was recruiting for their fundraising team - Save the Rhino! I took it as a sign and immediately presented my case and here we are!

Rhino Runners 2022 will raise awareness and valuable funds for rhino conservation in support of our mission to help all five rhino species thrive in the wild.The world's rhino species are currently facing major threats to their survival. Extensive poaching for rhino horn, habitat loss and the growing challenge of climate change continue to threaten the survival of this iconic species.
