I'm the crazy fool of Lady and the Tramps, I'm always volunteering to do mad things....mainly mountain biking and endurance events.

I started running seriously when I was 17 and have entered a lot of road races including the Great North Run, but I have changed the kind of events I have been entering the past few years, I've mainly been entering cross country running and cross country cycling events.

I only got into cross country mountain biking a few years ago when my boyfriend decided to take me on a bike ride through the local forest.....I hated it, especially because of all the nettles and thorn bushes that were around, cutting and stinging my legs.

Although it took some convincing from the boyfriend to get back on the bike, I did and no-one can get me off now, I have even started representing the Royal Navy in cross country mountain biking events and will be representing the Royal Navy in the mountain biking legs of this event.

Until last year I had never done a duathlon or an endurance event, I was trying to tell the boyfriend that I was going to compete by myself in Hellrider "the full 8 hours, by myself" but he was having none of it and decided that we should make it a team event of three.

The training has been going well for this event and I have recently completed the Thetford Winter Series so am well on the way for the mountain biking part of the event, I have started hill training and as I live in Gibraltar the rock is the ideal place to start running up.
