Fundraising for St Catherine’s Hospice (Crawley)
Nearly two years have passed since Dad died. He had just celebrated his 63rd birthday and I'd bought him his favourite things, liquorish, dandylion and burdoch, brandy and was gonna give him a grandchild in the September of that year. We were told he'd meet the baby but never did.
I gave birth to his first Granddaughter, Neve Rebecca Markley in early September. Dad has chosen names for the unborn baby and Rebecca was the one he had chosen for a girl. Mum and Dad should have celebrated their Ruby Wedding Anniversary that month too, a lot of celebrations to be had but a very somber year.
This will be my second walk for St Catherine's Hospice who cared for Dad with much respect in his final weeks.
£50 could enable a patient to attend a day hospice.
£100 could cover the cost of a specialist community nurse home visit and follow up support
£400 could pay for the running of one in-patient bed for 24 hour nursing and full hospice support.
So please dig deep and donate now no matter how small, every pound makes a difference.
