Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
I remember watching the very first broadcast of Band Aid back in 1985 and feeling an incredible sense of how lucky and fortunate I was to live in the Western world. Since then I have always had a desire to visit Africa and try and help make a difference in any way I can.
Call it what you will but as the years fly by and middle age is truly kicking in and also after the loss of both my parents I feel that this is my time. I stumbled upon this Memusi Foundation and having met Matt, the founder and heard his story I knew this was the right charity for me!
The Memusi Foundation has a mission-it provides hope for the people around the world through access to education. In the firm belief that education is the primary way for people to escape poverty in their lifetime. The foundation works with communities around the world to provide sustainable solutions.
I believe that education and Health Care are two pf the most important things any human being can have access to. With this in m ind I will be travelling to Kenya to visit the Memusi community in October this year. I will be volunteering with medical help and also will be working in a school with children in the local villages in south Kenya.
I would be truly grateful if could donate any amount, no matter how small, to make a difference.
