Story

As we all know I've got a big birthday this year so I've decided to get #fitfor50 and set myself a challenge.

I'm going to climb the Atlas Mountains and Mount Toubkal (the highest mountain in North Africa). Ill be climbing for three days, sleeping 2 nights on the mountain ( o joy!)

Halton Haven is an amazing facility right on our doorstep, providing out of this world care when it is most needed, both to our loved ones and their family and friends. After experiencing and witnessing the care for Uncle Frank (Broome) and my friend Norma, I cannot think of a better charity to raise money for,  for this utterly ridiculous challenge I've set myself!

Thankfully this is an organised challenge (with doctors on hand - hopefully not needed!) and I am funding the cost myself, so that every penny donated goes directly to Halton Haven Hospice, so every little bit will help.

I'll be sharing my training walks (and mega falls, not done a walk without a fall yet!) so it's worth keeping an eye even if it's just for a  laugh at my expense!

Halton Haven Hospice provides specialist care, completely free of charge, to people of Halton and surrounding areas who are living with end of life or life-limiting conditions.
