Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

On 16th November 2013 I  went to an evening for James, a charity event in Liverpool. The charity James Bulger memorial trust was founded by Denise Fergus, James's mum,  in 2011 , on what would have been James's 21st birthday . If you don't know or remember the story, James was the toddler that was abducted , tortured and murdered by two 10 year old boys in Liverpool in 1993.

Denise wanted to set up a charity that would reward deserving children In James's memory. This ranges from children who are doing exceptionally well, to those who have been a victim of crime, to those who have suffered a bereavement. The charity pays for the nominated child and their family to have a week expense paid holiday at their caravan in Blackpool ( James Bulger House ) transport is also provided.  support and services , such as counselling can also be arranged .

I decided to do a charity challenge in memory of James. To pay my own respects to him , and honour his memory. Me and My son Jim are doing a 6 day tour, including Trek of part of the Great Wall of China in September. We have already raised well over our initial fundraising target of £2800 - which is fab!!!!

Thank you so much for your contribution ❤️

' For James ' because he may be gone, but will never be forgotten xx
