Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

hi

my name is debbie, i am 39 years old, married to andrew and have two gorgeous kids james 13 and anna 9.

the reason i am running for NAS, is that 9 years ago james was diagnosed with autism, this had such an impact on all our lives, and any decisions we make as a family. i am running to raise vital funds, but as important, to raise awareness of autism, and change peoples perceptions. ignorance is cruel, people make ill informed judgements on autistic people, just take 5/10 minutes to read what autism is.

this run means more, because i have roped in my husband, andrew to run too!

james is autistic, he can't speak for himself, but he is also a loving and caring son, big brother, grandson, nephew and cousin, and i am his voice.
