Story

Hi  there,

On the 12th of September this year, Astra tank or ‘Herman’, with Deano and Seb along for the ride, will be taking on 99 other bangers in the 2008 Scally Rally.  Calais – Basel – Como – Cortina – Rimini, not much of a challenge you may think, but for two non- mechanically-minded men in a banger bought for £100 to drive around the Grimsel pass, Furka Pass and the Stelvio pass it’s a hairy venture.  The Stelvio pass was heavily featured on Top Gear last series as one of the most exciting roads in the world, exciting in a super car but in ‘Herman’ perhaps a little more than exciting.

We are raising money for the Help for Heroes charity.  The charity Help for Heroes was launched in October 2007 in response to the desire of ordinary people to do something practical to help our wounded servicemen and women.  We think it is a very good cause and  appropriate as I live on Salisbury Plain, home of the British army.

So please dig deep and sponsor us online so that we can raise as much money as we can for the injured servicemen that need our help.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Help for Heroes will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support
