Story
On the 2nd/3rd of September (date provisional and subject to change depending on weather) I plan to take on a challenge which has been a goal of mine for a few years now, known as 'The Welsh 3000's'. The challenge involves reaching the summit of the 15 highest peaks in Snowdonia ⛰, all of which are 3000ft or more above sea level, and my aim is to complete this in 24hrs or less.
I am taking on this challenge along side my partner Simon, who has been a fab and supportive training partner 💪🏽and has got some serious patience dealing with all my moaning 😂 With months of training on the mountains, at Live Life Light Gym 🏋🏽♀️ and some intense 🥵 but fun 🤪 PT sessions with Richard Roberts, we feel we are almost ready to brave what is going to be.......one hell of a walk 🙈🤷🏽♀️
We have both agreed that as this will be a pretty testing but exciting challenge for us to undertake and complete 🤟🏽 we will use the opportunity to hopefully raise funds for our chosen charities 🙌🏽.
The charity I have chosen is SANDS. I have chosen this charity as it is one that is close to my heart on a personal and professional level ❤👩🏽⚕️. I will be completing the challenge in memory of my son Dylan and nephew Cody 😇👶💙👣, in memory of baby Jay Joshua Griffith, the first angel baby I personally delivered into the world and who's beautiful parents have now become friends 😇💙💞, for all the parents and families I have supported through difficult times and for all my colleagues who have also been 'that rock' for parents and families during their time of need.
SANDS is a fantastic Charity that offers support to us all as parents, families and health care workers who have experienced stillbirth or neonatal loss. Any donation big or small would make a massive, wonderful difference and would be received with the greatest of gratitude 🙏🏽
