Story
Thanks to everybody who donated, I finished the triathlon in a time of 2hrs43m, 4th in my age category and overall I came 43rd out of 166 competitors.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year I made a shock discovery that could actually run for more than 50 yards! Shocking I know. Well anyway I dabbled in running a bit just a couple of miles every now and again. Turned out I enjoyed it, so I thought of entering a Triathlon, I hadn't actually done any swimming but oh well, it's just splashing gracefully, how hard could it be? 😐. I then thought about if I wanted to do it for charity as previously I solo cycled from Birmingham to Paignton (Devon, yes the seaside) without doing it for charity and kind of kicked myself for doing so. At the same time I didn't feel like I could connect to any charity. Aside from learning how to run I also learned that I was infertile, something that hit me pretty hard aswell as my wife as she has always wanted a little sproggling. It really makes you think about the rest of your life and what there is to live for (sorry I've gone in deep) so obviously my charity of choice would be the biggest infertility charity in the UK, there isn't a lot that can be done for me now, but there is a hell of a lot of people out there that need help and if I can make at least 1 baby indirectly through raising some money from sweating in Lycra around a park in Birmingham then it will really make a difference in my life. If you've read this far, well done you're nearly there just a couple more lines, I'm literally wasting your time with this sentence but oh well, you'll live! Donate some money, please. Don't think of the people you could help create there own special little miracle think of me! Because it's all about me! ☺️. 50p will do, just remain anonymous because I'll mock you for being a cheapskate!
