I will be shaving my hair off (my head) on Thursday 6th July, in the attempt to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Cancer affects all of us in one way or another and I did something similar to this about 9 years ago where I raised over £1,400 and this time I am hoping to beat that.

There are plenty of people out there raising money by various marathons, mountain climbs, etc but I will undertaking an extreme endurance of sitting in a chair and getting my hair cut for what could be all day - have you seen my hair?

On top of this, I am also giving up:-

• the ability to play air guitar and shake my hair all over place looking like a rock icon
• wearing a ponytail to avoid 'eating hair' when having soup
• the chance to look like Doc Brown from 'Back to the Future' as my hair gets greyer and whiter....
• some of my physical strength (apparently)
