Grand Appeal Skydive! · 31 December 2012 ·
This year I will be Skydiving in aid to raise money for The Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal in memory of my cousin Jamie Fish.
In December 2008 Jamie was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at only 14 years old. This was a massive shock but we were told that this was a very treatable form of Cancer and has a good survival rate. The doctors actual words were, "Of all the cancers to have this is the best of the bad ones"
After starting on chemo therapy we were staying positive and waiting for Jamie to come home from Hospital. Unfortunately Jamie didn't take well to the chemo and his body went into shock and his kidneys failed along with other complications.
Jamie's fight from the initial diagnosis in December 2008 only lasted 3 months, he lost his battle on the 2nd March 2009.
