Story
We (Dean Clark, Kevan Harding and Patrick Sunderland) will head off from Land's End on 12th May and attempt to cycle 981 miles to John O'Groats over 13 (rather lumpy) days. We've all talked about doing this for way too long and figured that at some point we just needed to knuckle down and do it.
This is not part of a bigger event, just three middle-aged men who figured it might just be a good idea and hopefully will not get too lost in the process. We will have a small, but expert, support team (Adam, Iain, Victoria and Darren) who are also donating their time to make sure we don't come to too much harm.
In discussing the trip with a number of people the inevitable "let me know who you are raising money for and I'll sponsor you" came up. We hadn't initially planned this as a charity event but figured if people wanted to sponsor us then someone should benefit from our toils and pain. So now is your chance to back us. We have chosen a charity called Whoopsadaisy.
Whoopsadaisy is a Brighton-based charity set up to help children with cerebral palsy and other motor disorders experience the benefits of Conductive Education to enable them to lead a more independent life. Conductive Education is a system of learning which helps to develop control and movement, social and daily living skills and language skills and also shows parents/carers how to help their children at home.
