Story
This year I am turning 50, I know it's hard to believe as i still look 29, it is a significant birthday and I want to do something equally as significant to celebrate!
I will be taking part in the Simplyhealth Great North Run 2019 and running for a charity close to mine and my family's heart, Muscular Dystrophy UK.
My eldest daughter Lily has been friends with Kiera since they were 4 years old, they drove me mad then and are still doing a good job of it now at 23! I strongly disapprove for their new found love of wine!
Kiera was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy when she was just 9 years old.
I remember the days well where she'd live in her Chelsea kit (eye roll) and be running around like a lunatic, she had so much energy but she still does when it comes to her football. I also had her at a few QPR games, she's definitely a fan at heart!
The stories I could tell you about Kiera over the years and all that she/the pair of them got up to, well that would be never ending.
She is an inspiration to us all! Her condition has never got in the way of anything she wants to do! She lives a very outgoing life, travelling all over the world and doing what she can to support others with MD!
Kiera is the Regional Development Executive for Muscular Dystrophy UK! Organising amazing fundraising events like the Great North Run!!
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and any donations are greatly appreciated!
