Raise vital funds for the Polyposis Registry to help prevent Bowel Cancer, and to help fund research and education at St Mark's Hospital, a world-leading specialist bowel disease hospital

Story

In April this year Ben was diagnosed with Peutz Jeghers syndrome , a rare condition that results in polyps growing throughout
the gastrointestinal tract. This was first noticed when Ben started developing freckling on the lips and inside the mouth .

Through the specialist care at St Marks Hospital Ben has now started his  lifelong surveillance screening at the hospital .

This will consist of regular trips to London for endoscopy and colonoscopies to monitor the polyps .

The care we have had from the hospital and specialist team has been excellent and Ben is just one of many children with similar conditions under the care of the hospital .

I am hoping to raise as much money as possible by taking part in the bike ride  to
contribute towards the decorating of the children's ward.

This ward includes a paediatric day care unit, that looks after
children undergoing day surgery and investigations, for many specialities including gastroenterology.
