Cancer can be so so cruel it doesn't discriminate against age, race, gender, religion and takes so many innocent lives. You only have to look at poor Lewis Mighty and Bradley Lowery who have battled this horrendous illness to know this can affect absolutely anyone...

Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer in some way shape or form and the heartache it causes. For me it's my Dad... This is the 3rd time he's had to battle against Cancer... firstly it was Cancer of the kidney so he had an operation to remove it. Then he suffered Cancer of the lung which involved part of his lung being taken away... now the Cancer has spread to his chest which isn't easily treatable and we now face many uncertainties relating to this... my dads my hero and in my eyes is indestructible so this is a heartbreaking time for me and my family, but I know he's strong and won't give up without a fight.

I have decided to do my small part in the battle against cancer by donning boxing gloves and get in the ring for the first time boxing with UWCB to raise money for Cancer Research.
