Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Prospect Hospice is a fantastic charitable organisation that offers comfort and unparalleled end-of-life care to the community. They offer care on site at the Hospice, as well as support for patients, carers and family members in their own homes.
To support this great cause, I have signed up to take part in the team Prospect Trek through the Moroccan region of the Sahara. Over the course of 4 days we will be trekking through the Imlil Valley, across dried river beds, sand dunes and plains of the desert, with each night spent camping out under the stars. This trek will be challenging and like nothing I have ever experienced, but I am looking forward to this amazing opportunity, and chance to fundraise for the Prospect Hospice.
My personal involvement with the Prospect Hospice only recently began, where I took up a voluntary position within the team at the Prospect Hospice. So far I have only witnessed the tip of the iceberg of the fantastic team based at the Hospice, as well as what they have to offer to the community, which also includes numerous Charity shops taking in donated goods, with proceeds going to support the running of the organisation.
My connection to the Prospect Hospice dates back further, as my Aunt Claire spent time in the care of the Hospice, and they supported my Uncle Paul during this difficult time. The Prospect was there to support our family in a time of need and we are all grateful of the support received.
Over the years my family have been involved with the Hospice through numerous fundraising events, and I feel it is about time I get involved in supporting this great cause. I previously donated to the Prospect Hospice by collecting sponsorship for a Half Marathon.
So I have decided to fund-raise for them again. Any and all donations are welcome and I would like to extend my appreciation in advance to all for your support for this great cause.
